Black & white photo of the Drury Academy, built 1873, the first building on the Drury campus. Stood on the est side of the campus, facing Benton Ave., just north of Stone Chapel. Built in a similar style to the Colored School, which stood just behind the Academy.

Color poscard photo of the Frisco Office Building, northwest corner of Jefferson and Olive streets. Later the Landmark Building, it was built on the site of the Central School.

It is a valentine card with a girl in a red dress with a blue umbrella standing next to a cat with a black and white checkered bow. The text reads "Valentine Greetings , To a good little girl I know". On the back is handwritten " frm Miss Ruth". The paper is cardboard and the card is meant to stand upright. It is a valentine given to Mary Ruth Johnson McShane (1909-2001) of Mt. Vernon during her school years.

A black and white photograph of a large group of African American teachers in 1934. The picture has "My teachers" and "1934" written on the front side. The reverse side has been stamped with "The Duncan Studio, Springfield, Mo." It also has a #12 on the same side.

Sepia tone photo of Ethel Bly, classmate of Helen Davies Bryant at the Springfield Hospital Training School for Nurses at 440 S. Market. Bly married Harve Greenwood and worked at the Veteran's Hospital in Pasco, WA.

Black and white photo of James O. Fairbanks and his father, Jonathan Fairbanks, in front of the Fairbanks home at 847 Sherman Ave. In front is a large bed of iris with a west view of the house in the background. James was the youngest surviving son of Jonathan and Angie Bowker Fairbanks.

The Royal McBee Review, Vol. 2, No. 4, June, 1960, a monthly company newsletter. This one tells about the dedication of the Springfield plant at 2401 E. Sunshine, on Tuesday, June 7, 1960. Lists management employees.

Black and white photo of twelve young male students that were attending Drury. Enclosed information stated "the indian boys at Fairbanks Hall, 94-95." Native Americans came to Drury to further their education. Several did graduate. Between 1873 and 1893, all but two years saw Native Americans attending school at Drury.

A photograph of Dr. Finkel from Drury College and some of his students at his Winoka lodge. The photo is sepia toned and cabinet size.

Seven Drury biology students on a field trip to Greydon Springs. They are all standing or sitting near a set of railroad tracks and railroad timber. The photograph was unable to be scanned.

It is a heart shaped card with a girl, a boy and a girl in an arirplane, and cupid on the front. There is a paper lace overlay and it has a blue border.Inside there is an illustration of a boy and a girl at the beach. The text reads " Valentine Greetings, Little playmate, tell me true, Have I any chance with You? Let me be your Valentine, For you always have been mine." Printed on the back is "Whitneymade, Worcester, Mass., made in USA." It is a valentine given to Mary Ruth Johnson McShane (1909-2001) of Mt. Vernon during her school years.

It is a square card with a gold border. It has an illustration of two children on it with one using a pointer to point to the words "I luv yoo" in a heart. At the top is "For my Valentine". On the inside is a illustration of a dove with a letter in its beak in a heart and the verse: Some people spell love with an "O", But if they only knew The right way for a Valentine is to spell it with "U". On the back is printed "Made in USA and H6010". It is a valentine given to Mary Ruth Johnson McShane (1909-2001) of Mt. Vernon during her school years.

Six negatives from a field trip to Greydon Springs by a group of Drury biology students in the 1920's. The negatives are under the accession number 2006-12 but reach from 2006-12-1 to 2006-12-6. They were unfit to scan.

A collection of 12 color photos of Governor John Ashcroft's visit to a Springfield public school in 1985. The first scanned picture shows Ashcroft with Principal Bill Williams, the second shows Ashcroft speaking in front of a stage.

Black and white photo, taken at the Ford Tractor Training School, of Lester E. Cox, Ernest R. Breech, Henry Ford II, and Jack Davis at the Cox Kickapoo Prairie Farm, currently Chesterfield Village.

This is a single sheet card. It is a blond girl in a blue dress holding a heart in one hand and a dove in the other. "To my valentine" is printed on her dress. On the back is printed, "Carrington Co, Chicago ILL". There is a tree logo with an "A" in it. Handwritten on the back is "To Mary Johnson From Gertie Belle". This card was given to Mary Ruth Johnson McShane (1909-2001) of Mt.Vernon, MO in grade school.

1998-200
Black and white photo of the final classes held in the Boyd residence. For several years classes were held in the house which had been the residence of Mrs. Mary S. Boyd. It was situated at the northwest corner of Benton and Center Streets, across Benton Ave. from Drury College Chapel. The teacher at the left of the class is Miss Roxie Cassity. Mabel Hunt is seated in the front row, the fifth from the left.
